As 2026 has crept in, do you notice a familiar and uncomfortable feeling.
The year has changed but life feels much the same.
You may be working hard, being responsible, doing what is expected of you, yet not experiencing the progress, clarity, or satisfaction you hoped for. Perhaps you keep telling yourself that things will improve once the pressure eases, once the diary is calmer, once the team settles, once you finally have more time.
And yet, somehow, 2024 and 2025 have blended into one long stretch of effort without the change you wanted.
If this feels familiar, you are not alone.
Feeling capable, but constrained
Many of the dentists and professionals I work with come to coaching feeling capable but constrained. Successful on paper, but uneasy underneath. They describe frustration with themselves for feeling stuck, fear of making the wrong decision, and a quiet worry that another year could pass without meaningful change.
They are not lacking motivation or intelligence. What they are lacking is space to think differently.
This is exactly where 1-2-1 coaching becomes powerful.
Stepping off the treadmill
Coaching gives you the opportunity to step off the treadmill and think properly. Not about what you should do next, but about how you are thinking, what is driving your choices, and why certain patterns keep repeating.
Lasting change does not come from pushing harder. It comes from changing the thinking that sits underneath behaviour.
When thinking shifts, behaviour follows. Decisions become clearer. Confidence increases. Pressure feels more manageable. You begin to respond rather than react.
Making change visible and measurable

As Purple Jane, I make your development visible and measurable.
At the start of our work together, you complete a Thinking Pattern Profile. This acts like an MRI scan for your thinking, showing how you currently respond to pressure, responsibility, uncertainty, change, and risk. We repeat the profile at the end of your coaching journey.
By comparing the two reports, you can clearly see how your thinking has shifted over time.
You do not need to be able to decode the reports to see that change has occurred. Even at a glance, patterns soften, flexibility increases, and unhelpful drivers reduce. Confidence, perspective, and resilience strengthen. These shifts in thinking are what precipitate changes in behaviour, communication, leadership style, and how you feel day to day.
I often share anonymised before-and-after examples from dentists who felt exactly as you might feel now. Without understanding the detail, it is still clear that coaching has created meaningful, lasting change.
Choosing a different future
If you do nothing, 2026 is likely to look very much like 2025 and 2024. The same pressures. The same internal conversations. The same sense of being busy but not where you want to be.
Coaching is the vehicle that makes change happen.
It provides structure, support, insight, and accountability. It helps you move forward deliberately rather than reactively. Most importantly, it gives you back a sense of agency, clarity, and optimism about your future.
If you want 2026 to be different, now is the perfect time to begin.
If you would like to explore whether 1-2-1 coaching is right for you, I would be very happy to have a conversation.
